MCKENZIE, Barbra “Bernice” (nee Chappel)

Passed peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at the age of 83. Loving wife of 63 years to the late John McKenzie. Devoted mother of Bonnie Gubbels (Hurbie), Brian, Mary Logan (Wayne), Alexsandra McKenzie and Nancy Stroud (Alan). Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth (Tom), Ryan (Amanda), Spencer, Michael, and great grandmother of Connor, Wyatt and Sophie. Will be sadly missed by her sisters Ilene Crawford (Tim) and June Schwecke (Heinz). Cremation has taken place, with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. A private memorial service will be held in the Springtime, as per Bernice’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Women’s Missionary Society at Stroud Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
