McINTYRE, Gary Robert

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Gary McIntyre. Gary fought a courageous battle, but succumbed to cancer on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, surrounded by his family. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Zora McIntyre. Gary was the beloved and devoted husband of Karen Martin, father of Rob (Michelle), Kirsten, Dave (Tara), Tawnya (Brad), Alli (Mark), Natalie (Kirk), and Papa to Jacob, Skye, Zoey, Mackenzie, Shayla, Nora, Sebastian, Theo, Connor, Willie and Sammy. Gary will be greatly missed by his sister, Peg (Alf), nephew Jim, mother in law, Helen, as well as sisters and brothers in law, Flo (Pat), Dianne (Rick), Jim (predeceased), Harold (Sharon), Tom (Lu), Dave (Linda), Donna (Ron), George and his many nieces and nephews. Gary was well known for his love of family, his offbeat sense of humour, his love of nascar, and, his love of tinkering and woodworking. A Celebration of Life will be held at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minets Point Road, Barrie on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Visitation will be held at 11:00am to 12:00pm and a service at 12:00pm, followed by a reception.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family would appreciate donations towards Royal Victoria Regional Heath Centre, designated to the Cancer Centre.
