Thomas Allan Mcilmoyle passed away peacefully with family by his side at Hospice Simcoe at 12:10pm Saturday September 24, 2016 at the age of 56. Loving Husband and best friend to Joanne( nee Taylor) Mcilmoyle. Proud father of Tyler, Kristy and Matthew. Fun-loving grandfather to Boston and Millie. Devoted son of Doreen (nee Slean) and the late Charles Mcilmoyle. As well as Joseph and Mary Taylor. Brother of Scott and Mary Ellen, Sharon, Brian and Sandy, Paul and Kathi. Uncle of Gregory, Alexander and Nicholas, Sarah and Peter, Lindsay and Riley.
Tom is well known as “The Real Deal” to the fire fighter community and with his 30 years with the Toronto Fire Department, accumulated countless friendships. His pride and dedication has earned him several recognitions, as he never hesitated to be “First in, last out”. Tom has left behind a life times worth of stories, laughs, memories and love. And as we say goodbye for now, to a man that has touched so many in such a short, but full life- we remember the life of every party, everybody’s hero, friend and captain both on and off of the fire department as he gave us all a beautiful example of how to life to the fullest.
