McGOURTY, Elizabeth Anne

Born April 10th, 1943, made her transition into the light and love of God surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Thursday, April 21st, 2016 at the age of 73. Anne is survived by dearly beloved partner Tom Harmer; appreciated, loved, and adored Aunt of Supriya Shanti, Lisa Michelle Fenton, Sarah, Kevin, Megan, and Kathleen McGourty, Daniel Gordan, and Lisa Thurman. Great-Aunt to James Shanti-Strother, Chayse Cunniff, Ryan Gordan and Rachel Thurman. Sister to Peter, Patricia, John, Michael and Jean McGourty. Cherished friend of Mary & Dave Penner, Anna & Tony Ciccotosto, Monica German, Leslie Erisman, Lorna & Paul Matthews, Bernice Leone, Norah McElroy, Bujar Emini & Diane Antkiw, Colleen & John Maloney, Noelle Guillard, Linda Davis, and Eileen Higgins. Anne will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, May 28th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie ON L4N 3B5 (705-722-6656).
