Remembering the life and legacy of Stewart Malcolm McCurley.

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our dad, Stewart Malcolm McCurley (Stu- Mac). In his 88th year, passing away peacefully on Thursday, January 7th 2016 at home. Predeceased by Gloria Jean (Howitt) McCurley his wife of 60 years, and survived by his sister Ruth Burns. Lovingly remembered by his children Chris (Kelly), Paula (Bernard), Jeff (Christine) and their families. Stewart proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces, which provided him with the travel opportunities throughout most of Canada and Europe, Peace Keeping Missions in exotic locations and was a veteran of the Korean War. He ended his military service as a Master Warrant Officer at Base Borden a proud member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). He spent his spare time tinkering with cars, reading Louis L’amour westerns and enjoyed playing cards. If so desired memorial donations may be made in Stewart’s name to the Wounded Warriors or Canadian Cancer Society.
