Ralph Douglas McCartney, 87, of Innisfil, ON, passed away suddenly at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, in the City of Barrie, surrounded by his family on November 12, 2017.
Ralph is survived by his wife Irene of 67 years, daughter Deborah (John) Bamford, sons Eric and Jeff (pre-deceased).
Loving brother to Marlene Clarke, pre-deceased by siblings, Raymond, Earl and Shirley. Loving grandfather to Sarah Jane Bamford (Greg O'Connor), Sharon (Ben) Galashan and Shelby and Riley McCartney, and great grandchildren Amelia, Marina and Eliah. Ralph will be dearly missed by many loving friends and extended family.
Ralph was a prominent member within the Barrie community serving as a former president of The Kiwanis Club of Barrie and respected business owner of Double “M” and Jayway Distribution.
A visitation will be held at the Innisfil Funeral Home on Thursday November 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. With a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Ralph will be laid to rest at the Innisvale Cemetery in Innisfil, ON. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
