McARTHUR, Ruth

Passed away peacefully and lovingly into God’s arms at Hospice Simcoe on Thursday, January 19, 2017 after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Loving wife of Glen McArthur for 60 years. Cherished mother of Deborah Pratt (Richard) and Dan McArthur (Lisa). Adored Nana of Jessica & Steven Pratt, and Sarah & Curtis McArthur. Ruth is predeceased by her brother Herman Mills and survived by her sister Leta Lougheed of Orangeville. Ruth’s love of music shone as a choir member at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her infectious laugh and pure kindness with be missed by many friends and relatives. Friends will be received at Westminster Presbyterian Church (170 Steel Street, Barrie) on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 o’clock a.m., reception to follow.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
