It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Doris McAllister (Heeney, Matton). She passed in the early hours of May 3, 2023 in her home.
Doris was loved and cherished by her husband of 38 years, Willie McAllister. Their life was furnished by spending much time with family and travelling. They shared countless laughs together.
She was an extremely proud mother to her seven children. With great joy she would recall stories of raising her children, often saying these were the best times of her life. Her precious children are: David, Bonnie (Dave), Debbie, Cathy (Paul), Bill (Sharon), Chris, and Susan (Jeff). Doris loved her Step-Children Jim (deceased), Kim (Bob), and Danny (Heather).
She found immense joy spending time with her precious grandchildren Chris (deceased), Jeff, Chad, David, Chris, Robert, Aaron, Damon, Jonathon, Casey, Stevey, Kirgan, Brittany, Nicholas, Tyler, Zachary, Josh, Dylan, Maxwell, and Olivia.
She was also an adored Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Sister-in-Law, and friend to many.
She was a loving and exceptionally thoughtful lady, known for hosting fantastic meals for her family and friends throughout her life. She loved cooking and was well-known for serving enormous portions of her delicious homemade desserts. She was a talented crafter and made numerous beautiful sweaters, blankets, and quilts for loved ones. She had a soft spot for her many pets, spoiling them to no end.
She was a natural born care-taker and enjoyed her career working with the elderly.
Our lives are all better for being loved by her; her love was a special, irreplaceable one, uniquely tailored to every person lucky enough to receive it. She will always be in our hearts. A memorial will be held June 2, 2023 from 1-3 pm.
