(14 April 1973 - 23 May 2019) - It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Scott James McAleer, 46, of Barrie, formerly of Thunder Bay. Scott worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 22 years. He is survived by his mother, Arlene James, of Barrie (formerly Thunder Bay), and his daughter Gillian McAleer of Thunder Bay. Predeceased by his father, Ronald McAleer of Barrie, and by his grandparents, Arthur and Florence James, and William and Mary McAleer. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all his uncles, aunts, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE in Barrie, followed by cremation. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Waubaushene Protestant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott’s name to the Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated.
