Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Friday, October 27^th, 2017. Robert Matthews at the age of 73, loving husband of Verna. Dear father of Onalee Matthews (Don Allen) and Heather Brightman. Proud grandfather of Nadia Corkum, Luke Brightman, Caden Brightman and Matthew Corkum. Robert is also survived by his brother Arnold (Janet) Taggart; his sisters Betty (Walter) Rinzema, Hilda (John) Kajak, Beryl (Fred) Fry and Mary Taggart. Predeceased by his sister Mary Harten. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 o’clock .
