MARRITT, Ruby Ellen (nee Pratt)

(February 23, 1920 - September 23, 2017) - Went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in her 98th year at Simcoe Terrace, Barrie. Ruby was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald of 58 years and son Bruce. Ruby will be deeply missed by her daughter Barbara Anne and husband Robert Edward Leyland of Midhurst. She was dear grandmother (Omi) to Elizabeth Anne (John) and Matthew (Guida). Omi was a loving great-grandmother to Alexandra Ellen, Stevie Luke, Emily Anne, Joshua, Hannah Abigail and Josiah Edward. Special thanks to Dr. Christine Thornton and all the staff and residents at Simcoe Terrace for their kindness and love shown to Mum and her family. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11 o’clock a.m. with visitation one hour prior. A private family interment will be held at Queensville Cemetery. Memorial Donations to Compassion Canada would be appreciated.
