Peacefully, at the Mill Creek Care Centre, Barrie, on October 14, 2016, at the age of 90. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen (April 2015). Dear father of Robert (Mary), Karen Bright (Jim), Joan Bakewell (Larry) and Laura Dulaney (James). Proud grandfather of Melissa, Byron, Jennifer, Russell, Brianne, Brailey, Caitlin and great-grandfather of Chelsea, Lyla, Haddon and Emmanuel. Bryon’s genuinely sociable nature will be sadly missed by all who knew him, including many long-time friends made during his more than 30 years with Kodak Canada in Toronto. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie, on Friday October 21, 2016 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm, with service being held in the chapel on Saturday at 1 pm, followed by a reception luncheon in the lounge. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional and very caring staff of Mill Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bryon’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
