(November 23, 1983 - January 26, 2019) - Sarah passed peacefully cuddling with her Mom on Jan. 26th at 2 a.m. Sarah has been such a fighter, struggling for the last 5 years waiting for a kidney & pancreas transplant and suffered several injuries & other complications due to her diabetes. These complications landed Sarah in ICU 8 times but Sarah was extremely strong and she made it through each & every time however these complications made it impossible for transplant. Sarah was a Hero, Heart & Soul, her body just couldn’t take it any more.
Sarah will be deeply missed by her family & friends and even though she will be in Heaven, she will be in our Hearts Forever. Sarah’s family would also like to thank all staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe for all they have done to make Sarah’s final days as peaceful as possible. The ladies at the Dialysis unit at RVH were fantastic to Sarah & RNR made Sarah’s trips back & forth more pleasurable than any transport service could. Thanks to all for all your great work & caring for my daughter.
Sarah was in Hospice Simcoe for the last four days of her life and they were amazing. So if anyone wishes, they can make donations to Hospice Simcoe so that they may continue to help families go through the worse time in their lives with so much peace, comfort and dignity.
