Passed away peacefully at his home in Wasaga Beach with his four daughters by his side. Walter was born July 14, 1917 on the family farm in Beaverdale Ontario. Walter was the 6th oldest in a family of 13 children and last surviving member. Predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy Edith (nee McCulloch) and survived by his four daughters Joy Anne Wade (the late Ted Wade), Nancy Archdekin (Rick), Bubbles McKegney (Ian), and Edie Launder (Rob Oliver). Walter will be also remembered by his 14 Grandchildren, their spouses and his 17 Great Grandchildren. A Celebration of Walter’s Life will be held at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 1 – 4 pm with tributes shared at 2:30. In lieu of flowers please help someone who could use a hand or a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
