(July 10, 1945 - December 15, 2017) - After a short but courageous battle with cancer, Barry Frederick John Leigh passed away on Friday December 15, 2017 at the age of 72 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Barry will be sadly missed by his loving spouse of 7 years, Nancy McHardy. Proud father of Jeremy (Jake) Leigh and his wife Andria, Jennifer Hickling and her husband Steve. Loving grandfather (Papa) of Brianna and Justin Leigh and Isaac and Laura Hickling. Barry is pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 39 years, Susan Leigh (nee Medley) and his parents, Norman Leigh and Orma Leigh (nee Crawford). He is survived by his brother Max Leigh, his sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, his uncle, and many nieces and nephews. Barry will be lovingly remembered and missed by his numerous family and friends. Family and friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME(445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Wednesday December 20, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday December 21, 2017. In lieu in flowers, donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association and/or The Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Program would be greatly appreciated.
