LANNING, Helen R. (nee Fitzsimmons)

Passed away unexpectedly at home on Christmas Eve. Helen Lanning, at the age of 78, loving mother of Joanne (Mark) Santoni, Debra (Ken) Kapty and Mark Lanning. Adoring grandmother of Tyler, Cameron, Connor, Cassandra, AJ and Charlie. Helen is also survived by her siblings Doris (the late Norm) Poirier, Fred (the late Anne) Fitzsimmins, Eileen (Rick) Hunt, Martha (Sigi) Koetzle, Jim (Sharon) Fitzsimmins, sister in-law Bev (Percy) Shaughnessy and brother-in-law Al (Anne) Lanning. Predeceased by her sister Alice (Mervin Booth) and brother Tom Fitzsimmins. Helen will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and as well as her very dear friend Barb Bassett. Helen will be remembered by all of her “Singing Ladies”, The Melloblends, Simcoe County Connection, UltraSound Quartette as well as the Parkview Singers. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Friday from 12 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
