Bud passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at RVH. Beloved husband, for 61 years, of Shirley. Father of Karen White (Dennis) and Rob (Charlene). Grandfather of Jeffrey and Madeline. Brother-in-law of Marie and Bill, uncle of Casey, Barry and Patti. Predeceased by brother Roger. Bud will be missed by family and friends. Bud’s love for his family, the military and all animals was well known. His ‘Shaggy Dog’ stories are legend. Bud was born in Ottawa and served in the Armed Forces for 40 years, a career that included two tours of duty with the UN Peacekeeping Force in Egypt in the 1960’s.
The family wishes to acknowledge the care received from all the staff of 3GA Respiratory at RVH and Dr. Q. Nguyen, as well as the staff of St. Elizabeth wound care clinic on Ferris Lane. Special thanks to Dr. Bruce McTurk for care over the years. In keeping with Bud’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie. Condolences may be forwarded to the family through adamsfuneralhome.ca
