Passed away peacefully at Mill Creek Care Centre on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the age of 89. Loving husband of Alexandra (nee Nitsopoulos) for 65 years. Cherished father of Niki Giamos (Chris), Danny (Karen), and Fene Campbell (Colin). Loving Dedo of Alexis (Roberto), Kyle, Dani-Suzanne, Rebecca, Cassandra, and Matthew. Loving brother of Alex Chatzis (Helen). He was predeceased by his parents Konstantinos and Fani and his many brothers and sisters. John will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent St. Barrie) on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 2-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at HOLY CROSS ST. NEKTAROIS GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH (Hwy 93 and Hwy 11) on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10 o’clock a.m. Interment to follow at Barrie Union Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Barrie Country Club (635 St. Vincent Street, Barrie). Memorial donations to Lewy Body Dementia would be appreciated by the family.
