It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Captain Kevin J. Hollands, age 59 on July 30, 2018 at his home in Minesing, Ontario after a long battle with cancer. Beloved son of Doreen Hollands (Crook) and the late Robert Hollands. He is also survived by brothers, Martin (Wendy) their children Lindsay (Bill) and Brad, Ian (Iris) their children Elizabeth and Cameron (Victoria) and their son Mackenzie. As well as his extended family in the United Kingdom. Kevin was very fortunate to find his true passion in life of being a pilot. Kevin flew for several companies throughout his career including Aklak Air, Bearskin Airlines, Air Atlantic and most recently WestJet for the past 19 years. Kevin held several positions at WestJet including Line Pilot, Training Pilot, Chief Pilot and Director of Line Operations. Kevin’s interests outside flying included carpentry/wood working, boating and fixing anything mechanical. If you had a car or boat problem, Kevin was your go to guy. A very special thank you to his very good friends Bruce and Marian Wild, their Family, and Sophie the dog his constant companion for all their help and support.
