It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty N. Hay on April 22, 2016 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Lorne for 63 years. Mother of Gordon (daughter-in-law Anne), Kathy, Wayne and grandmother to Olivia, Liam, Zachary and Jocelyn.
Betty was well known in the Georgian Bay Area as a teacher in square and round dancing. As well in the travel industry having devoted over 39 years to planning and escorting group tours all over the world with multiple departures to Bermuda, Hawaii, Portugal, South Pacific, Kenya, Asia, Great Britain, and Europe. Betty’s passion for new and exciting travel showed in her depth of research in every country, county, town, city centre and hotel she and Lorne went to having visited some 63 countries in all. Betty’s love of life was directed by treating people as she would want to be treated herself in everyday life. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
