HARTLING, Hugh 'Wayne'

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the age of 80. Wayne was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario and later moved to Toronto with his wife Ann Catherine O’Connor where he worked at The Toronto Star for over 30 years and raised their family. They then moved to Barrie, Ontario and retired there. Cherished husband of Ann Catherine Hartling (nee O’Connor). Loving dad of Kimberly Hartling (David Weiler), Catherine (Brian) Long and Marilyn Hannah. Loving Papa of Nigel, Trista and Shane Weiler and Jonathan, Trevor and Kelly Hannah. Predeceased by his parents Millicent & Wilfred Hartling and his beloved daughter Alanna Marie Hartling. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Monday, April 10 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 1 o’clock p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior.
