(February 1, 1932 to February 3, 2018) - Charles Gregory (“Greg”) Hall passed away at Victoria Village in Barrie on February 3, 2018, as a result of Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Saskatoon in 1932 to James and Beulah Hall, he had four siblings: Marilyn, Sharon, Jim and Patrick. After Campion College, Greg worked with Ford Motor Company for 37 years. Greg felt lucky having met the beautiful Agnes (“Gussie”) Lenore Benko on his way to work. Married August 17, 1952, they had 3 children: Warren (Val), Joanne (Jamie) and Bruce (Anne Elise); and 3 grandchildren: Kelly, Owen and Gwyneth.

Greg was a life-long outdoorsman and loved running, walking, hiking, skiing, cycling tennis and golf. He was an extremely hard-working, energetic, confident, patient and clever person, being inquisitive in nature and methodical in everything he did. This was reflected in his work, many pieces of finely crafted wood furniture he built, his photography and landscaping projects. Greg was always brave and accepting of his illness, remaining positive and never complaining. Many thanks to the family and friends who were an important part of his long life and the staff at Victoria Village who diligently cared for him with compassion and grace.
A celebration of Greg’s life will take place in the spring in Sunnidale Park in Barrie. Details will be provided at a later date. No flowers please. Donations in Greg’s honour, can be made to Parkinson Canada.
