Passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the age of 49. Beloved son of Peter and Isabelle Gubbels. Cherished brother to Donna Koetzle (Fred), Cathie Gilligan (Wayne), and Chris Gubbels. Dear uncle to Ryan Koetzle, Megan Koetzle, Cole Gilligan, and Dana Gilligan. David will be forever loved and remembered by extended family, friends and those that had the opportunity to know him. David chose to help others at the end of his life by donating organs through the Trillium Gift of Life. To celebrate David’s life friends and family will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent St. Barrie) on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 o’clock p.m. Arrangements entrusted to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Barrie. Memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
