Vina passed away suddenly and peacefully on September 5, 2018 at the age of 73. She will be missed dearly by many family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Ronald Grunig. Loving mother to Sandra Giles (Terry O’Brien), Glenn Giles, and Brian Giles (predeceased). Step mother to Karon Porsche (Chris) and Corrie Mediamachine (David). Devoted grandmother to Terry O’Brien Jr. (Jennifer Rodriguez), Michelle Thomas (Kyle), Amanda Giles (predeceased), Justin O’Brien (Jessica), Katelyn Porsche, Kyle Porsche, Connor, Hailey, Mackenzie, and Mike Mayor. Great grandmother of Nevaeh Giles, Wyatt Thomas, Jackson Thomas, TJ O’Brien, and Mason. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie, on Sunday, September 9, 2018 for visitation from 12pm until 1pm. The service will take place at 1pm. Reception to follow. Donations in Vina’s memory may be made to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation and are greatly appreciated by the family.
