Retired from Bell Canada after 37 years of service in Toronto & Barrie. Passed away suddenly in Barrie on Tuesday June 7, 2016 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Sharon for 56 years. Dear father of Michael (Sylvia) Groundsell and Jackie Taylor. Proud Grandpa of Cory, Darrell and Malcolm and great grandpa of Mikey, Suvi rae, and Everly brianne. Survived by brother Brian (Linda) Groundsell. Sadly missed by other dear family members and friends. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie on Friday June 10, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A mass of christian burial will take place the following day, Saturday June 11, at St. John Vianney catholic church, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie starting at 11am. Cremation. A reception in the parish hall will follow.
