Suddenly yet peacefully at home on Monday January 16th, 2017 at the age of 75. Beloved wife and best friend of Garry for 53 years. Dear mother of Craig (Lisa) and cherished Nana of Taylor and Connor. Sadly missed by her brother in law George (Betty), and sisters in law Doreen Nicholson (Nick) and Helen Richardson (Harold). Always loved and remembered by many life-long family members and friends. Visitation will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Friday January 20, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday January 21, starting at 10 am. Visitation from 9 am. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke foundation or the Arthritis Association are greatly appreciated by the family.
