Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at the age of 87. Aldo lived a vigorous life having come to Canada from Italy in 1956, worked for Bell Canada for many years and later owned his own grocery store. Aldo is predeceased by the love of his life Emilia in August of 2017 as well as his brother Antonio. He will be sadly missed by his children Frank (Wanda – deceased 2016) and Fiorella Cantacessi (Nicola). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Aldo Jr. (Katie), Pasqua (Dino), Joseph (Valerie) and Mike. Aldo will be lovingly remembered by his brother Andrea (Olga), his sister Concetta DiGiorno (Alberto) and his sister in law Dorina Granata.
Visitation will be held at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent St., Barrie on Sunday October 29th from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm with a prayer service at 8:45. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 30th , 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – 65 Amelia St. Barrie, ON at 10:00 am. Entombment will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery – 7300 Highway 27 Woodbridge with a reception to follow.
