Shirley passed away peacefully at home after a year long struggle with heart and lung disease on November 15, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Bob, son Randy, her younger siblings Ken Usher, Grant Usher, and Gail Campbell Usher. She’ll be sadly missed by her son Terry, his wife Sarah Gilbert and their sons Nathan, Talon, Oliver, Parker, and Finnly, and her daughter-in-law Ute and her children Connor, Lindsay and Holly. Shirley leaves behind sister-in-law Anne and brother-in-law Bob as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, November 24th from 12 p.m until the time of the Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Private Interment at Newton Robinson United Church Cemetery. A special thank you is given to the kind and caring staff of Champlain Manor Retirement Home where Shirley lived for the past year.
