Passed peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Centre in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Michele (predeceased), cherished mother to Frank (Karen), Rose, Ida Lavigne (Gerald), John, Anna (predeceased), Yolanda 'Lucy', Pina, and Joe (Maria). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Mike, Melanie, Heather, Matthew, Jennifer, Ralph, Michael, Liana, Conan, Teala, Mikkel, Adam, Jasmine, Leah, Sofia, and great grandchildren Mackenzie, Mayah, Miranda, Mikhail, Gabriel, Adam, Lindy, Cace and Evelina. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Road, Barrie on Wednesday, November 18 from 10 am until the time of Service in the chapel at 11 am and are invited to stay for a reception in the lounge before Maria's interment at Highland Memory Gardens at 3 pm in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Wholeness Volunteer Centre or Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
