GALLINGER, E. Milton

Posted

It is with sadness we announce the death of E. Milton Gallinger, son of Ralph and Mae, (both deceased), in his 87th year, in the town of Beeton, Ontario.
He left peacefully in the arms of his love Frances. It was through a long battle with COPD that he succumbed to endless slumber on the 1st day of December, 2019.
His sharp wit and amazing sense of humour served him well and offered him a bevy of friendships throughout his life and during the many residences he called home across Ontario and Alberta.
Milton valued good friends, loyalty, big bands, an aged Rye and a good remote control for Hockey Night in Canada.
In his limber years, Milton could be found ‘scooting’ on his rhythmic two feet, twirling the ladies on the dance floor. In his awesome years his level of scooting was driven by his 4 wheel scooter motor and invitations to carry the beat, drumsticks in hand, never shying away from a party.
How lucky were we that he shared his joy of dancing, joking and socialising with the likes of us!
We shall smile and laugh remembering the joy, (and the jokes), he shared.
So cheers to a husband, a father, a friend and all the memories he helped create.
Milton will be lovingly remembered by his life partner and true love Frances, his children; Michael, (deceased), Gail, (Perry), Greg, (Marianne), his grandchildren; Ryan, (Patricia), Logan, Nevan, (Elizabeth), Timothy, Joseph, Geoffrey, Benjamin, and his great grandchildren; Paige, Bailee and Olivia. Forever in our hearts.
Visitation will take place at Simcoe Manor, 5988 8th Line, Beeton on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time we celebrate Milton’s life at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow, with a private family interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall. If desired, donations to Parkinson Canada or the COPD Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
