Raymond John Evask passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Sunday May 5th, 2019 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of 47 years to Mary Aileen (nee Downey). Raymond is predeceased by his parents John and Annie Evask and his brother Edward Evask and Sister Edna Yurtis and her husband Tony. Raymond is also survived by his Sister-in-law Dorothy Evask; nephews Michael Evask, Christopher Evask and Eric Evask; Nieces Betty Fraser, Cathy Eakin (Bob), Mary Jones , and cousin Laura Lockman. Friends may call at St. John Vianney Church - 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie on Thursday May 9th from 9:00am until the time of the Mass at 10:00am. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, 30 Erskine Ave, Toronto at 2:00pm. If desired, memorial donations to the L'Arche Foundation of Canada or Good Shepherd Ministries Toronto would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
