Went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie at the age of 93. Beloved husband and best friend of Lucille (nee Bone) for 69 years. Loving father of Greg (Denise) of Midhurst, Roger (Cathy) of Ivy and Leah Emms of Alliston. Grandfather of David, Brandon, Dallas and great grandfather to Raiden and Jaxon. Dear brother of Carl (Bonnie), Jack (Nancy) and brother in-law to Audrey Emms, Bessie Bone and Evelyn Leigh. Predeceased by siblings and their spouses Joe (Lois), Delbert (Verna), Everett, Ken (Madeline), Dalton (Marjorie), Hilda (Wilf) Cockburn, Arla (Ed) Davis, Velva (Bill) Sutton and Joan Emms. Ross will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 1 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Celebration of Ross’ life will be held at BETHEL COMMUNITY CHURCH 128 St. Vincent Street, Barrie on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 12 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Thornton Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe or The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
