DOWNEY, Isabella Jean (nee Robertson)

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie. Loving wife of the late Jack Downey (1951 – 1999) and the late Roy Downey (2006 – 2012). Dear mother of Rosanne (Wendell) White, Heather (Jerry) Smeding, Ross (Donna) Downey & Trish (Rob) Campbell. She will always be cherished by her eight grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Hammell & Trevor White; Tyler (Maureen) Smeding & Rachel Smeding; Jeff & Ryan Downey (Victoria); Scott (Michelle) Campbell & Laura Jean Campbell; and by her great grandchildren, Isabel (Izzy) & Mckenna Hammell, Jack Smeding & Rafe Campbell. Isabel will be remembered by her brother Bill (Roberta) Robertson & sisters Edith (Jack) Bell & Anne (Larry) Jones. Predeceased by brothers Don (Faye) & Ed (Shirley) Robertson. She will also be remembered by her sister-in-law Mary Downey, her many nieces & nephews, & Roy’s family (‘The Alliston Downeys’). Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Monday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11 o’clock Tuesday, October 10^th, 2017 Interment Minesing Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to Minesing Union Cemetery or Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
