John Paul Dempsey suddenly and peacefully passed away on March 7, 2017 in Barrie, Ontario. Beloved son of Ursula and Sean Dempsey. Remembered by sisters Fiona Demspey, Siobhan (Maurice) Byrne and Sarah (Johnathan) Standing. John will be missed by nieces and nephews Molly Arseneault, Cian and Aine Byrne, and Jude and Finn Standing. Also sadly missed by all of his aunts and uncles, family in England and Ireland, the Dempsey family in Collingwood, and the Richardson Family in Pickering and Newcastle. Friends and family will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Sunday, March 12, 2017 for visitation from 1-3pm. A service will take place in the chapel on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 starting at 11am. Interment to follow at St.Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Busby Centre and are appreciated by the family. Online memories and condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com.
