Passed away suddenly after a glorious evening with friends at his happy place in Sauble Beach on April 6, 2018. Loving husband and best friend of Marilyn Gallimore. Best dad ever to Dave (DeAnne), Ron and Michael. Dear grandpa of Amy, Alison, and Jaden. Oldest brother of Joanne (Jim), Mark (Linda), Danielle, and Paul (Claudia). Favorite son in law of Betty Stirton. Special father in law of Debbie Dawkins. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Doc and Viviane and also predeceased by Sharon Dawkins. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Sunday April 8, from 1 to 5 pm. Visitation will continue the following day, April 9, at Bear Creek Golf Club 8545 Simcoe County Rd., Utopia, Ontario from 12:30 pm until the time we celebrate his life starting at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mitch’s memory may be made to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre at RVH and are greatly appreciated.
