Audrey Mary Davies (nee Hillock) passed away peacefully in her 95th year on September 11, 2017 at her home at Woods Park Care Centre in Barrie. Audrey was born March 7 1923 to John Wesley and Wilhemena (nee Matthies) Hillock. Married September 1 1945, to Gerwyn Davies. Together they raised 7 children. Audrey is predeceased by all her siblings, her husband Gerwyn Davies and 2 of her sons, John and Wayne Davies. Survived by 4 sons, Bryan (Linda)Davies, Mark (Lorna) Davies, Ron Davies, Grant Davies, and her daughter Darlene Davies. Audrey was a loving Grandma to Colin, Cheryl, Andrea, Alan, Kevin, Ryan, Amanda, Kyle, Shawn and Sheri and to her many great grandchildren. (Also like a Grandma to many).

As a message from one of her granddaughters, Cheryl said, (and felt by everyone of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren) “I will never forget how my Grandma made me feel as though I was the best mom, that I could do anything and that I was loved unconditionally.”
Her extended family at Woods Park, where Audrey lived for 8 ½ years, truly loved her. That was clearly visible by the love and support shown to her and our family throughout her stay, and especially in her final days. We hugged, we cried and we laughed together. Audrey will join her husband Gerwyn and son John at Barrie Union Cemetery in Barrie.
