Elizabeth, our beloved mother was born in Szolnok, Hungary. She was one of four children to Vari Ignacs and Borbala Vari (Oravetz). Her childhood was hard, enduring all the nightmares of World War 2. She loved telling the stories of when she went with her father on a sidecar motorcycle for hundreds of kilometres to a country market/fair. There they sold cotton candy and beautiful wooden toys that were meticulously made by her father. She came to Canada in 1956 with two small children, after several attempts, another hardship she endured.
She will truly be missed by us all. Mami now joins the rest of her family in heaven. Her twin sister Lula, older sister Dusi, brother and parents where she will be laid to her final resting place in Hungary.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Leslie (Olivia), Erica (Joe), Barbara (Kevin), and Liz. Grandchildren Lisa (Dave), Christina (Jenn), Krystal (Mark), Joey, and Micah (Barbara). Great grandchildren Kiandra, Logan, Micah jr., and her many cousins and friends.
