Died peacefully in her 89th year on Dec 25, 2015. Predeceased by her husband Alvin George Currie. Loving mother of Denise (Bill) de Jong, Clifford (Karen), Steven and predeceased by children Dianne (Case) Balk and Kenneth. Proud grandmother of William, Blair, Jason, James and Laura (predeceased) and great grandmother of Aiden. Will be sadly missed by her brother Ray (Kay) Rumble and family. Will be fondly remembered by the families of Catherine MacConnell, Isobel Wingarden (predeceased), Robert Currie, Jean St. Marie, Charlie Currie (predeceased) Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Thursday December 31st from 10am until the time of service in the chapel at 11am. A reception luncheon will follow in the lounge. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Mill Creek Care Centre, especially the compassionate care of the PSW’s.
