It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother and special friend who succumbed at Dorothy Ley Hospice at the age of 95. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Arnold had a successful dental practice in Long Branch (1951-1985) and was an honorary member of the Ontario and Canadian Dental Association for 50+ years. Arnold was a veteran of the RCAF and was posted to Iceland as a radar technician. He was always a kind and thoughtful man of humility who took quiet pleasure in being successful. Our memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Being the eldest of a family of 10 children, he was predeceased by his parents Jessie and Ernest Crawford of Oro Station, brother Bob and sisters Marilyn Marie, Barbara Jamison and Shirley Tulloch (Jack predeceased). He is survived by his sister Phyllis Robson (Garnet predeceased), brother Bill (Barbara predeceased), sister Dorothy Coulton (Don), brother Bruce Crawford (Sandra) and sister Gwen Rawlinson. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his best friend Claus. Thank you Debbie for your love and support through this difficult time. Friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Tuesday, September 6th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, with service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday, September 7th at 11 am. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the lounge before proceeding to Little Brick Cemetery in Oro Station for the interment. Memorial donations to Oro Little Brick Church or Dorothy Ley Hospice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
