Loved and cherished by his wife Ann, dear father of Karen (John Blakely), Dawn (Joseph Muller) and Beverly (Christopher Worth). Loving granddad of Andrew and Adam Blakely, Earl Muller and Claire and Graham Worth. Predeceased by 5 siblings and survived by his sister Iris Stout and many adoring nieces and nephews across the country. Gordon built and ran G.E. Crandell Construction, served as president of Ontario Road Builders Association, was an involved member of Barrie Rotary Club, Probus Club of Barrie, and an honorary member of Big Bay Point Golf Club. Gord is remembered, loved and respected by all who knew him for his integrity and strength. He lived the motto "service before self". A private burial service was held on December 28, 2015. The family invites friends to a celebration of Gord's life at St. George's Anglican Church, 9 Granville Street, Barrie, ON on Saturday January 9th with visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 followed by a service at noon and a lunch reception. The family appreciated the loving help provided by many caregivers from CCAC, St. Elizabeth Society and We Care.
