COOKE, Judith Lynn

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Cooke after a lengthy illness. She died peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the age of 69 surrounded by her loving family. As a retired teacher, Judy touched countless lives over the years and was a favourite teacher to many students. She had a kind heart and notorious sense of humour which drew people to her. As a result, she has a multitude of friends, far too many to count.

She leaves behind her son Robert Cooke (Kathryn Easson), her brother Everett Cooke (Brenda) and her nieces and nephews: Darlene Crang (Jim), David Cooke (Nicole), Alicia Lawrenson (Eddy) & Matthew Cooke (Jennifer). She was also a Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews who love their Aunt Judy. She was predeceased by her parents Everett & Helen Cooke and by her siblings David Cooke and Linda Cooke.

A Celebration of Life for Judy will take place on Sunday March the 3rd, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a reception from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home located at 201 Minet’s Point Road in Barrie. Donations to The David Busby Street Centre in Judy’s memory would be kindly appreciated.
