On Saturday, July 17, 2021, Mike Cook loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 69. Mike was born on May 28, 1952, in St. Boniface, Manitoba, to Kelly and Patricia Cook. On May 19, 1972, Mike married Marlene Gabert. They raised two children, Kerry and Jana. Mike had a passion for collecting comic books with his son Kerry, as well as stamps and coins. He loved playing cards, in particular poker and enjoyed the friendships that developed as a result of these activities. Mike also enjoyed fishing whenever he could find someone to go fishing with. Mike was preceded in death by his loving daughter Jana, his father Kelly, his mother Patricia and his step-father Tom. Mike is survived by his wife Marlene, his son Kerry, his stepmother Jennifer, his sister Susan, his brother Kelly (Mary), his sister Shirley (Rob), several in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and some very close friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the family home at 51 Ambler Bay in Barrie, Ontario, between the hours of 2:00PM - 4:00PM.
