COCKBURN, Thelma

Thelma passed peacefully, at home, on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 81. She was a loving mother to Steve (Brenda) and to the late Scott and a cherished grandmother to Alexander and Lisa. She is survived by her brother Lloyd Pearsall and her sister Muriel Andrunyk. Thelma was the founding National Director of Rainbows for All Children Canada and will be sadly missed by many longtime friends and colleagues at Rainbows, as well as her teaching colleagues at the Simcoe County Board of Education and the many people she inspired as the Children’s Choir Director at Collier Street United Church. A memorial service will be held at Collier St. United Church, 112 Collier St., Barrie, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1 pm, followed by a reception in the church hall. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to CCAC and Bayshore Home Health for their care and compassion.
