COATES, Gordon

Passed away peacefully in his home in Barrie Ontario, on Thursday November 10th, 2016. Gordon, predeceased by his father Rowland Roy Coates, and step-father Trueman Eldred Lowther, he leaves behind his loving mother Kathleen Sadie Lowther nee – Allen. He will be sadly missed by his sisters; Marilyn Lablanc (Ralph), Betty MacKenzie (Late Garnet), Sheila Bowser (Late Terry), Kathryn Cooper (Colin), brothers; Brian Coates (Sandy Lee), Kirk Coates (Heather), Douglas Lowther (Carole). Gordon was predeceased by his wife Bayna Georgina Coates. Loved father to Darlene Billett (Ray), Gordon Daniel Coates (Rose), Michele Boniface, Graham Coates, and Gregory Coates. Grandfather to Dean Coates, Danielle Coates, Haley Boniface, Landon Coates. Always remembered by his partner Bonnie Walsh, and her children Tracey, Tammy, and Richelle and families. Celebration of life will take place at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie Ontario, on Thursday November 17th, from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. A private family interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to the RVH Cardiac Care Unit.
