It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of David Calvert -- a beloved son, father, brother, uncle nephew, cousin and friend. David was the loving father of Kyle and Shannon, and eldest son of Jean Allan (Bob) and Dave Calvert (Josie). He is survived by his common-law wife, Jenn Sturgess, her children Cayden and Natasha, and his siblings Beverley Green (John Watson), Paul Calvert, Collette Green (Steve Novis), Craig Calvert, Steve Green (Jacquie Green), John Calvert (Bre-Ann Calvert), Scott Calvert (Amanda) as well as his dear friend and mother of his children, Sandy Calvert. Guests are invited to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie, on Friday, June 17, 2016 for a Celebration of Life and luncheon in memory of David. Following the gathering, friends and family are welcome at 260 Cox Mill Road for food and refreshments.
