BROWN, Evelyn Francis

Passed peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Meaford on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Maurice Brown. Beloved mother of Beverley (Larry) Gardhouse, and the late Wayne Brown. Proud Grandma of Scott (Robin), Corey (Tiffany), Sean (Amberley), Sarah, Michael (Kelly) and Mark (Jennifer). Dear sister of David (Gail) and Brian (Carol) Buker and Grace (Rolly) Hallyburton. Predeceased by brothers Glenn and Carl (Joan) Buker. Sadly missed by daughter-in-law Linda Brown and sister-in-law Gwennyth Buker. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of their neighbours and close friends in Thornbury over the last 10 years who always stopped in to say hello to Evelyn whenever Bev & Larry were away on holiday. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Saturday January 5th, 2018 from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm inside the chapel. A reception to follow inside the lower lounge. Internment to take place at Barrie Union Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Grace United Church in Thornbury.
