BROADFOOT, Elfriede

(March 3, 1922 – March 10, 2016) - In her 95th year after a life well lived, Elfriede Broadfoot passed away peacefully at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Barrie. Founder of M & E Shady Rest Cottages in Oro-Medonte with her predeceased husband Matthew Broadfoot (1990). Survived by daughter's Lela Gammon and Dyan Gundert. Predeceased by Lela Gammon's twin sister Evelyn Kathryn Broadfoot (1946). Loving Grandmother of pre-deceased Bobbi Jo Desroches (1986), Danielle Desroches; Shari Pryce nee Gundert (Matt), and Josef Gundert (Bonnie). Caring great-grandmother of Diamond; Tyler, Logan, Hunter; Reese and Tristan. Family and friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minets Point Road, Barrie, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in chapel at 12:00 p.m. Donations in Elfriede's memory can be made to OSPCA or Season's Centre for Grieving Children – Barrie.
