Passed peacefully, with family by her side at the Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the age of 61. Beloved wife of Bill Bookalam for 29 years. Loving mother of William Marles and Holly Hawkins (Jeff). Dear daughter of Gerald Siddall (Laila), predeceased by her mother Anita Persson-Davis and Dear sister of Leslie Siddall (Julia), Doug Siddall and sister-in-law to Roy Bookalam (Eileen). Very proud Nana of Henry and Hannah Hawkins. Loving aunt of Matthew, Stephanie, Christopher, Justin & Lisa. Will be missed by many friends and extended family members. She was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Friday October 12, 2018 from 10 am to 11 am until the time we celebrate Maria’s life inside the chapel at 11 am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maria’s memory may be made to the Hospice Simcoe and are greatly appreciated by the family.
