Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Edward for 60 years. Cherished mother to Stephen. Dear sister of Charles Edwards (Joan), Ruth Hughes (Jim), Betty Stewart (Robert) and sister in-law of Jean Edwards, Bill Weatherbee (Marguerite), Bernice Vickers (Blaise). Shirley is predeceased by her sisters Peg, Edna, Mildred, Lucy, Josephine, and Georgina; and brothers Clarence, Henry, William, and Malcolm. Shirley will be forever loved and remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street Barrie) to celebrate Shirley’s life on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. A special thank you to Dr. H. Deboer-Fennell and her staff for their care of Shirley; the nurses and PSW’s of Bayshore for their wonderful care and service; and to the staff at Hospice Simcoe. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated.
