Passed peacefully at his home in Oshawa on October 14th, 2019 at the age of 43. Beloved husband of Michelle. Loving son of Rob and Patricia Bentson. Dear brother of Larissa, brother-in-law of Celeste and Shawn Kitsemetry, and son-in-law of Patricia and Roman Malanczyj. Cherished grandson of Matthew and the late Dorothy Boyd, and of Ella and the late Lawrence Brennan. Will be sadly missed by his niece Shaelynne and nephew Jase, as well as his aunts, uncles and many cousins. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, October 20th, 2019 from 1 – 2 p.m. until the time we celebrate Jason’s life in the Lounge from 2 – 4 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or World Wildlife Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
